That still doesn’t explain how he vanished into thin air

So the report is finally out. We are told how Selamat escaped. It’s quite a tall story really. A high security detention centre has no grilles for toilet windows? Urinals have doors? How is it that very coincidentally, the security cameras were upgraded and were not recording his David Copperfield-like escape?

However, even if we are to believe that tall story, there is another point that is still unanswered.

That point is, how is it that for the last 52 days, there is not even a single trace of Selamat?

So? Where did he go? If he stayed in the forests, he has to eat and answer nature’s call. Surely, he would have left signs of eaten fruits or urine and excrement for the dogs to trace him.

If he stayed in abandoned buildings, he still needs to eat and drink. No one spotted him the last 52 days trying to steal food and drink?

If he stayed with someone, surely neighbours would have noticed something amiss.

So how did he remain unseen the last 52 days?

Keep believing the tall stories the Singapore government tells you. I prefer to believe it is all wayang from Day One.

MM Lee offers Singapore’s butt to US, PM Lee offers it to China

In my last post, No dog can serve two masters, it was discussed and implied that Singapore has been trying to pander to both US and China – with not so desirable results. Just when you think things can’t get worse, it does.

Singapore politics has all the ingredients of a good drama serial. Family tyranny controlling a huge corporation called Singapore Inc, defamation suits against opponents – and bootlicking in order to win favours from big organizations.

Unfortunately for Singaporeans, this is real life. And look at the mess father and son have gotten us into.

MM Lee has made known worldwide that he sucks up to McCain. It is also known worldwide that MM’s son has sucked up to the Chinese.

So far, so good. Or is it? How about this piece of news?

McCain 'would confront Russia and China'

A John McCain presidency would take to a more forceful approach to Russia and China, according to senior foreign policy advisers to the Republican candidate.

The Arizona senator has already signalled that he intends to confront Russian president Vladimir Putin more directly than George W Bush if he wins the White House in November.

In a recent foreign policy speech, Mr McCain advocated removing Russia from the G8 group of major industrialised powers, while this week he announced he would not attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics if he were in office because of China's suppression of Tibetan protest

This is bad news. Real bad. There is a good possibility that McCain gets to be the next President of the United States of America. If that happens, the world will remember that Singapore has supported McCain. But McCain doesn’t seem to like Russia or China, does he?

So what now? PM Lee has sucked up to China, and McCain, (the possible future US President) doesn’t like what the old man’s son has sucked up. Boy oh boy. Singaporeans are gonna get screwed.

That’s not all. McCain doesn’t like the smell of Russia either. It looks like if he gets to be President, he wants to be a bigger fool than GW Bush, by making enemies out of Russia and China. While GW Bush angered the Arab world, McCain will anger the Russians and Chinese.

It must also be remembered that unlike the Arabs, Russia (and maybe the Chinese – who knows?) has nuclear weapons. We shouldn’t make enemies out of them. But that’s easier said than done. This is the current scenario….

Singapore, has for too long sucked up to the US. With Madman Bush leaving office, possibly to be replaced by Madderman McCain, we can expect a more hawkish US asking Singapore for more favours. Just like Bush got Singapore to support an illegal war in Iraq, we can expect McCain to get Singapore to support his mad wish for confrontation against Russia and China.

If we were in the 1960s or 70s, that would not make much of an impact. But we are in the 21st Century, and Russia and especially China, are now our economic friends.

So here is the Catch 22 situation. Suck up to the US, like what MM Lee did (with McCain as next president), and you have to consider China your foe. Suck up to China, like what his son did, and you have to consider US a threat to China.

Two highly paid ministers, unwittingly set a stage for direct confrontation between two gigantic elephants, with Little Red Riding Hood….I mean Little Red Dot, in the middle, about to be trampled and flattened like a pancake.

Enjoy that butt while you still can – or live with whatever that is left of it, when US confronts Russia and China.

No dog can serve two masters

The Singapore Government flips and flops – as always. When it sees the need to have a good relationship with the US, it licks the boots of the US President – even if it is at the expense of angering other allies. A good example is when Singapore takes the side of the US in the China-Taiwan Dispute, calling for independence for Taiwan.

Then when China is angered with that, the Singapore Government licks the boots of the Chinese government, calling for Taiwan to show restraint and not to push too hard for independence. Of course when Taiwan gets upset with that, the Singapore government then tries to appease it, by playing down the dispute.

This flip-flopping action of our government is a real embarrassment to say the least. It shows that lack of skills our ministers have, in handling foreign matters.

It is said that no servant can serve two masters. I say no dog can serve two masters. I liken the Singapore government to that of a “loyal dog”, who will not question its master’s commands. Problem is that this dog is trying to serve two masters at the same time.

Appeasing Master Number 1 -

It is well known among Singaporeans now that Singapore is a strong ally of the US, when it comes to the fight against “terror”. The goodies the US master gives to Singapore for obeying is that, being recognized as an ally, Singapore is given priority when it comes to international trade with the US. The price is that whatever the master commands, doggie has to obey.

The one big command that Master US has for Doggie Singapore government is to brand “Muslim extremists” as terrorists. The price of this command is that we are now seen by the Arabs, as a lackey of the US.

However, of late, a recent turn of events has caused Master US to expect more favours from Doggie Singapore government. Here is a report of that request…..

Bush praises S'pore for its stance against extremism

US President George W. Bush said on Wednesday that he appreciated Singapore's strong stance against extremism, after a meeting with Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong in the Oval Office.

Describing Singapore as 'a very strong ally' in the war against terror, he told reporters at the White House after the meeting: 'I do want to say... how much I appreciate your firm stance against extremists and radicals who use the tactics of murder and intimidation to advance their ideologies.'

The two leaders spoke on a range of topic in the region, including Myanmar and the unrest in Tibet.

On Tibet, both leaders agreed that Beijing had to start a dialogue with representatives of the Dalai Lama.

Said President Bush: 'We agree that it would stand the Chinese government in good stead if they would begin a dialogue with the representatives of the Dalai Lama.'

He added: 'If they ever were to reach out to the Dalai Lama, they'd find him to be a really fine man, a peaceful man, a man who is anti-violence, a man who is not for independence but for the cultural identity of the Tibetans being maintained.'

Mr Goh agreed, saying: 'The way forward will be for the Chinese leaders to talk to some representatives of the Dalai Lama. Better still if they can, to talk directly to the Dalai Lama. I think that's the only way for them to contain this problem.'

China blames the Dalai Lama for instigating last month's protests in and around Tibet, the biggest in nearly 20 years. Beijing has accused his supporters of trying to sabotage the August Olympic Games in the Chinese capital.

Exiled Tibetan leaders say 150 people have died in the Chinese crackdown on the demonstrations. China insists it has acted with restraint and killed no one, while blaming Tibetan 'rioters' for the deaths of 20 people….


Every master knows that to motivate his dog, he needs to reward it if it has done good. Since Doggie Singapore government has pleased Master US in its fight against “terror”, words of praise have to flow freely.

But wait, Master US wants more from Doggie Singapore government! It wants Singapore to take a stand on the China-Tibet dispute. US sees the Dalai Lama as a peaceful man and implicitly blames China for the unrest.

Can you read that the US is asking Singapore to take a stand on the China-Tibet issue? And that stand, will of course has to be the stand of the US?

Well, that is Master Number One’s command. But we also know that Doggie Singapore government’s second master is Master China. So what does this doggie now has to do?

Can Doggie Singapore government serve Master US, which calls for Singapore to take a stance on the China-Tibet issue, which will only anger Master China?


Appeasing Master Number 2 -

Here is a report that shows that Singapore has gotten involved in the China-Tibet dispute – as commanded by Master US. But wait….it isn’t exactly what Master US wants, is it?

Singapore says Olympic torch relay protests will have lifetime consequences

SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has warned that the outrage in China, especially among the young, over the displays of contempt for China and things Chinese will have consequences well beyond the Beijing Olympic Games.

Mr Lee noted that the Chinese anger can be read on the flooded Internet bulletin boards, all carrying strong anti-foreign sentiments.

He was speaking at a conference organised by the London School of Economics on Friday, against the backdrop of the massive anti-China protests that have dogged the Beijing Olympic torch's run in London, Paris and San Francisco.

Mr Lee said the Olympic torch relay -- which was China's "coming out party" - has also become the golden opportunity for opponents to make their point.

"So, as the torch travels the world, it has faced challenges at virtually every stop so far. Vivid TV images of demon­strators waving banners, scuffling with police, and making concerted assaults to snuff out the flame are beamed live around the world, achieving an asymmetrical prominence, and so influencing public opinion against China and the Games," he said.

Prime Minister Lee believes that no protesting group truly expects their public display of outrage at China's treatment of Tibetans or ethnic Han dissidents will change China's policy.


Doggie Singapore government has also to please Master Number 2 – China. So it does not say anything that displeases Master China. But that’s not what Master US is asking from Doggie Singapore government, is it?

Where is the Singapore’s stand on the Dalai Lama? Where is Singapore’s stance that China has to stop its violent crackdown on demonstrators and start talking with the exiled Tibetan leader?

Things are getting interesting. Déjà vu? Whenever Singapore tries to please both US and China, Singapore always gets butt-kicked. Just as in the China-Taiwan issue where all three parties, US, China and Taiwan, had not too flattering words for us – including the infamous phrase, “pisai” (speck of dried nasal mucus), used by the Taiwanese to describe Little Red Dot.

I believe that no dog can serve two masters. If it pleases the first master, the second master wont’ be too happy. If it pleases the second, the first won’t be happy.

The best is of course not to be beholden to any nation and start serving its citizens instead. But Doggie Singapore government cannot be independent. It never has been.

Well, if it has to serve a master and betray its own citizens, it would be better to choose one master and only one master.

For too long, Doggie Singapore government has been pleasing one master too many.

Never mind that Doggie Singapore government has always placed Singaporeans as lower priority to please more than one master.

So where are the gays now?

I have had some exchanges with pro-gay parties and they (always) claim that they are fighting for “minority rights”. They take the high moral stance of “equality” and the need for “open-mindedness”. In contrast, the “opponents” of the gay parade are portrayed to be intolerant, bigoted and “backward” in their thinking.

So is all the allegation levelled by gays in the comments found in the above link true?

There is another test case that appears to be around for proponents of the self-righteous sexual minorities to take up. So what is that case? Nobody notices? That’s strange. Pro-gays are always hopping mad, whenever the slightest incident that could be interpreted as anti-gay occurs. Yet not even a single self-righteous gay or pro-gay noticed what happened?

How about this report - SCV fined S$10,000 after airing lesbian kiss in music ad

SINGAPORE: Cable television operator Starhub Cable Vision (SCV) has been fined S$10,000 for airing a commercial of a Mandarin pop music video which showed two women kissing.

The commercial, which was to promote a song by pop singer Olivia Yan, was aired on MTV Mandarin Channel on 26 and 28 November 2007.

The Media Development Authority (MDA) said in a statement on its website that "romanticised scenes of two girls kissing were shown and it portrayed the relationship as acceptable".

The statement added that the scenes breached TV advertising guidelines, which disallow advertisements that condone homosexuality.

The MDA has also consulted the Advisory Committee for Chinese Programmes, and the committee agreed that the commercial had promoted lesbianism as acceptable and romantic, especially when shown together with the lyrics featured. - CNA/vm

While the above report is dated 10 Apr 2008, the news of the above fine is already about one or 2 days old, at the time of this posting.

So why the deafening silence from pro-gays? Is not lesbianism considered part of “sexual minorities”? If it were news about homosexuality for men, surely many gays would have had made many vociferous posts by now.

So what happened to the self-righteous parties? Where’s the outcry now? Where’s the noise now? Where is all the passionate plea that sexual minorities need space too?

Let’s face it. It is shown that when homosexuality for men is frowned upon, gays cry foul, and use the “sexual minority” argument to lay claim that they be treated equal. They use the “Christian fundamentalist” argument to claim that because of the “backwardness” of Christian thought, they are discriminated.

Yet, when their lesbian sisters are faced with the same fate……let there be total silence.

I find this incident troubling. Gays and pro-gays go all out with much passionate plea, with much emotion to claim society segregates sexual minorities. The silence from this group, when it is time for them to speak up for their lesbian sisters, indicates to me, that all their arguments are just an excuse for themselves to achieve their desire to be accepted into society.

Gays are not interested in fighting for minorities to have equal rights in society. They are not interested in society or any minority group. They are just interested in themselves. They are only interested that society accepts them.

All the passionate plea about equal rights for minorities is just an excuse for themselves to be accepted by society. They care not about society. They care about themselves and only themselves.

Well, my advice to gays is this. To be accepted into society, you must make friends. Your closest friends – your lesbian sisters – needed your help. You rendered none.

Consider this. If you cannot even render help to your closest friends, what friend are you?

What acceptance from society can you now expect?
